I'm home! I went backpacking at Elfin Lakes, in Garibaldi Provincial Park in Canada, with my friend Sarah. It was a one night trip, only 11km but half of that was over snow a lot like this in the picture.
The snow melted all over in crazy eggshell case shapes, maybe because the reflected light kept melting it further and further? It made it hard to walk!!

Beautiful and sunny though it may be, this does NOT look like any place to camp out in for fun...but I'm sure it didn't resemble your office one bit, therein becoming instantly more attractive...
Damn, you looked beat when you got back, but some good stories for the effort. Next time bring me, damnit!
