Blessed Are The Flexible

Today I picked up the very last thing from the old apartment and headed off, going a block too far in the wrong direction for no reason at all, which put me in the right place in time to see a tan dog chasing a monochrome cat across the playground toward the church. I shared a smile over the moment with an older man on a bike who looked for all the world like StepUncle Tom, and it happened way too fast to take a picture, as all the best moments do. I guess I am just saying it has been a very long month, and I am very tired, and as of today I officially live in sin on Capital Hill.

The Hours Of The Day Wonder How They've Been Spent

Handed over the keys to my old apartment last night. I'd lived there for two years -- longer than I'd lived anywhere since leaving for college in 1996, and if you count the switching houses as a teenager, longer that my clothes have stayed in one closet since I was 13.

Goodbye, tiny apartment!

Where I've Been All Along?

It's only Wednesday, and already it's been a long, long week. I spent this evening at the home of the woman who hired me into this company, over 5 years ago -- holy cow is her new home beautiful.

Also, I'm exhausted. Good night.

1...2...3... JUMP!

I spent the morning helping to shovel 7 cubic yards (?) of manure onto Jason's front lawn, as part of a sheet mulching project. I am less sore than I thought I'd be, but SO MUCH MORE TIRED. I am so old, people.

In other news, I'm headed to Atlanta tomorrow. Go to Flickr and check out the purdy leaf pictures. We had a party, and a horde of comedians showed up and kind of took over the place, and when I woke up this morning there was a man sleeping on the couch in the living room and he had sharpie drawings all over his face and arms. I never thought I'd be at a party where that happened.

Good night!

My Eyes

Pentax finally returned my camera... Only it is not my camera, it is a brand new one, no scratches. They also returned my memory card and my battery... But not my wrist strap?

Where Have I Been?

Smoother Than It Should Be

Sorry! Saturday night, Sarah came to play, and we went to see Twelfth Night at the Rep, then had late dinner at the 5 spot. Sunday we went to brunch at Sunlight, then hit a bunch of halloween costume shops for Sarah's awesome costume. Along the way we found ourselves at Archie McPhees...

and now, back to work!

Photos from the painting at Talina's apartment are up at Flickr, go visit! Check out the canvases we painted ourselves! Plus there's some other stuff, like tomatoes, and a sunset. I know, shocker.

Not my photo, but it's from Girlyman's performance at the Triple Door this spring. I forgot to bring a photo device to this evening's show at the Tractor. Which was wonderful, as usual. Of course. Yay live music.
